My Global Voice/ Citizens for Global Solutions (CGS) is pleased to host Dr. Ira Helfand in partnership with Physicians for Social Responsibility (PSR) and Georgia WAND. Dr. Helfand is an internationally renowned doctor and co-founder of PSR, a Nobel Peace Prize winning organization, whose pieces on the medical consequences of nuclear weapons and nuclear terrorism have been published throughout the United States. His presentation and 'town hall' style discussion will center on the danger of nuclear weapons and the importance of the New Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (START) currently being debated in the U.S. Senate.
