My Global Voice is working hard in your community to bring together folks who are united by a set of shared values: that every person has a stake in meeting the world’s challenges and that the United States should be a global leader in meeting those challenges through responsible international cooperation. Working together we are making a difference in everything from protecting international affairs funding to genocide prevention to debt relief for the world's poorest countries. My Global Voice is activating individuals and communities in Tennessee and Indiana through education, activism and engagement.

Here is Senator Lugar and Casey's letter to President Obama:
President Barack Obama
The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW
Washington, D.C. 20500
Dear President Obama:
CEDAW
What is CEDAW?
The Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women is a landmark international agreement that affirms principles of fundamental human rights and equality for women around the world.
CEDAW strengthens the United States as a global leader in standing up for women and girls. Ratification would continue America's proud bipartisan tradition of promoting and protecting human rights.
A Victory for START
On September 16th, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee voted 14-4 in favor of START! Senator Corker was one of the Republicans that voted in favor of START and My Global Voice wants to thank everybody who made a call, sent an e-mail or attended an event in support of START. All the support that Tennesseans showed for START undoubtedly made an important contribution to Senator Corker's decision. Thank you everybody!
Things will still be heating up as START moves to the Senate for a vote for ratification.
Celebration of Cultures
Come see My Global Voice at the Nashville Peace and Justice Center booth this Saturday at Centennial Park. We'll be providing information about CEDAW, the United Nations Women's Rights Treaty. Stop by and fill out a postcard to your Senator!
START week of Action
Over the next two weeks My Global Voice will be giving Rotary presentations in East Tennessee in support of START.
Be sure to send Senator Corker a message in support of START!

Georgia On My Mind
Hello my name is Shayla Moon, Georgia Field Organizer. Dr. Benjamin E. Mays is known stating that “Every person is born into the world to have a voice, do something unique and something distinctive and if he or she does not do it, it will never be heard or get done.” This is an exciting time as we embark on a journey as an organization to strengthen, and build a global voice amongst Georgians on American Foreign Policy.
